Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame proudly presents four exceptional organ sets
performed by David Bohn. Originally part of a call for the Organ Historical
Society 2025 National Convention, fifteen works were selected for the OHS
performance, while forty-five additional one-minute works were chosen to
create three new FMOF sets, providing expanded performance opportunities
and promoting living composers from around the globe. These works highlight
the creativity, diversity, and innovation that define contemporary organ
music today.

David Bohn has been a steadfast and prolific presence in the
Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame project, contributing as both a composer and a
performer for many years. His work has been selected for numerous FMOF
sets, reflecting his consistent creativity and versatility in writing for a
wide array of instruments and ensembles. In addition to having his
compositions frequently featured, David has also performed in many sets,
bringing the music of his fellow composers to life through his skillful
artistry on instruments ranging from organ to melodica to toy piano. His
deep commitment to the FMOF community highlights his integral role in
supporting and advancing contemporary music through one-minute compositions
and beyond.

Over the years, David Bohn has collaborated with a remarkable roster of
performers and composers, including Erik Branch, Douglas DaSilva, Juan
María Solare, Anna Vriend, Blair Whittington, and many others. His
compositions have appeared in diverse sets with performers such as David
Bohn on organ, melodica, and toy piano; Lisa Bost-Sandberg; Thomas Piercy;
Andrew White; Yumi Suehiro; and ensembles like Dániel Váczi and the
Glissotar, CAMP, and the West Point Band. Each set reflects a unique
curation of contemporary voices, and David’s work frequently resonates
within these collections, bridging diverse musical approaches and
instrumentation.

David Bohn’s contributions embody the spirit of Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame:

This set, performed by David Bohn on the historic Steere and Son organ at
Luther Memorial Church, presents a curated selection of one-minute
compositions from Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame.

It will be performed alongside Set Two at Luther Memorial Church, Madison,
WI, on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 12:00–1:00 PM.

The set includes works by David Bohn, Nantenaina Andriamorasata, Karina
Baras, Karl Henning, Satoru Ikeda, Aaron Krister Johnson, Tobias Naumann,
Federico Pozzer, Pablo A. Rago, Justin Rubin, Rudesindo Soutelo, Neil
Stipp, Karel Suchy, Jason A. Taurins, and Jaz Thomasian.

Each piece explores a distinct sonic world, highlighting the creativity and
diversity of contemporary composers in miniature form.

Also premiering at Luther Memorial Church on January 28, 2026, Set Two
highlights another fifteen one-minute works drawn from the same FMOF call.

For the Fisk Set, David Bohn performs on the renowned C. B. Fisk organ,
bringing to life an eclectic group of Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame compositions.
This program demonstrates the versatility of the Fisk organ while
showcasing inventive one-minute works that engage listeners in unexpected
and captivating ways.

Composers featured in this set include Erik Branch, Scott Brickman, Ross
James Carey, Michael Coleman, Rey Edward Concepcion, Monroe Golden, Stanley
M. Hoffman, Ralph Lewis, Alex/Alchemist, Sebastian Ernesto Pafundo, Akmal
Parwez, Darth Presley, Edward Ruchalski, Juan María Solare, and Willyn
Whiting.

This set emphasizes inventive approaches to harmony, rhythm, and organ
timbre, exploring techniques ranging from minimalist textures to
narrative-driven musical sketches. It complements Set One by continuing the
celebration of composers’ diverse stylistic approaches within one-minute
formats.

Washington SetThe final selection of fifteen one-minute works , the Port
Washington Set, is scheduled for performance in 2026 at on a church organ
in Port Washington with a date and location to be announced. The composers
featured in this set are Luis Patricio Bell, Paul Cowell, Douglas DaSilva,
Sébastien Devillers-Thijssen, Rob Funkhouser, Mark Langford, Juan Luis de
Pablo Enríquez Rohen, José Jesus de Azevedo Souza, André D. Tuffo, Lien
Vanspringel, Helena Verheijen, Anna Vriend, Blair Whittington, David Tze
Wan Wong, and César Zumel.

This set explores a spectrum of inspirations and techniques, from playful,
narrative-driven pieces to highly expressive, meditative works, each
crafted to engage listeners in a concentrated one-minute musical experience.

Historical Society Set (“OHS Convention Mix”)

The “OHS Convention Mix” consists of fifteen one-minute organ works
originally selected for the 2025 Organ Historical Society National
Convention, premiered on August 8, 2025, at Ozaukee Congregational Church
in Grafton, Wisconsin. This set was recorded at the premiere and will be
featured on the Composer’s Voice television series in early 2026 on
Manhattan Neighborhood Network. Composers in this set include Andreja
Andric, Paul Ayres, Paul Burnell, Daniel E. Cocchetti, Carlotta Ferrari,
John Furse, Kirsten Johnson, Tamsin Jones, Michael Todd Kovell, Vinícius
Nascimento, Josh Schmidt, Soheil Shirangi, David Jason Snow, Tim Tricker,
and Jean-Pierre Vial.

The OHS set is a carefully curated collection that blends historical
inspiration with contemporary creativity. Each one-minute work highlights
the versatility of the organ and the imagination of its composers, making
it a compelling listening experience for both traditional and modern
audiences.
