Tinderbox: User’s Manual News

Starting with Tinderbox 5, the Tinderbox User’s Manual has been built into Tinderbox, using Apple’s preferred Help format. To consult the manual, simply select it from the Help menu.

A number of users have written to say they miss having a separate pdf manual.  (Before the switch, people wrote to say they wished we’d switch!)  Thanks to the efforts of Mark Anderson, we now have a draft Tinderbox Manual as a pdf, which you can view in Acrobat® or Preview as you prefer.  You can download the manual here:

An important issue here is that the Apple Help and PDF versions of the User manual are both generated by Tinderbox, using the same Tinderbox file.  This lets us focus our resources on research and support, rather than on editing multiple documents.

If you have ideas for improving the pdf in ways that won't slow down new Tinderbox development, or if you'd like to lend a hand, let us know!

Tinderbox Projects

The response to last weekend’s Tinderbox Projects scheme was terrific.  The deal was simple: tell us how you do your work with Tinderbox, and we'll arrange a year of upgrades at half price.  Videos were what we thought of first, but as expected we received mind maps, Tinderbox documents, screencasts, and all sorts of inspiration.
