Fourth Annual Games for Health Conference 2008

May 8-9, 2008

The Games for Health Conference offers a rich platform for learning,
promotion, networking and business development for organizations interested
in the intersection between games and health. Topics to be covered include
exergaming, medical simulation, interactive messaging, health behavior
change, medical informatics, physical therapy, and game development. The
conference will offer demo rooms that will feature hands-on ability to play
with various games.

More than 300 individuals from 100 organizations (academic institutions,
government agencies and foundations/are these a subset of the orgs) are
expected to attend.

Two pre-conference workshops on May 7 include Games Accessibility Day
(accessibility for games, and special games for people with disabilities)
Virtual Worlds and Health (use of virtual worlds for health & healthcare)
(are these different events or discussion topics?)

Registration is $395.00 for Thursday, May 8 & Friday, May 9 and the
pre-conference workshops on Wednesday, May 7 are $99.00-$129.00

The Conference is Produced by The Games for Health Project which is part of
The Serious Games Initiative located on the Web at
http://www.seriousgames.org. The Games for Health Project is funded by The
Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Since 2004 the Games for Health Project has
been promoting knowledge sharing and community between game developers,
academics, health care professionals, and other stakeholders interested in
using games and game technologies to improve health and healthcare.
