Tenure-Track Position in Animation
DePaul University

The School of Cinema & Interactive Media at DePaul University invites animators to apply for a full-time, tenure-track position in one of the most innovative and fastest-growing animation programs in the country. Located in the heart of Chicago's vibrant Loop and Lincoln Park communities, the animation program is part of the School of Cinema & Interactive Media, which also includes cross-disciplinary programs in Cinema, Game Development, and Interactive Media. There are currently over 125 majors enrolled in the graduate and undergraduate animation programs. Animation resources include a stop motion studio, two green screen stages, a sound recording and mixing studio, and a motion capture studio. Ideal candidates for the positions will have teaching and production experience in one or more of the following areas of cinema, television and game development: hand-drawn animation, stop motion, 3d modeling, 3d animation, motion graphics, visual effects and motion capture. Job responsibilities include teaching, advising, service, supervising student projects and continued creative activities and/or scholarship in the field. Position begins fall of 2010. Any offer of employment is contingent upon institutional budget approval. MFA or equivalent required; qualified candidates without an MFA may be eligible for full-time non-tenure track positions, and are encouraged to apply.
