Subject: [game_edu] Papers on the effects of play

I'm writing a grant proposal and I need some references about the
effects of computer games on self-esteem and social relationships. So
far all I have managed to find are studies which show that violent
games increase agression and lower self-esteem.

Has anyone studied more constructive games, that are non-violent and
cooperative? Does anyone have any positive findings about social
computer-game play, or is it wholly negative?

Malcolm
