Lane Community College is seeking an innovative and participatory Gaming and Programming Faculty instructor in the Business/Computer Information Technology Division. Instructional Faculty are professional educators with the primary responsibility of providing a quality and inspiring learning experience for all Lane Community College students. The selected candidate will fulfill the teaching functions in a manner that promotes quality of student learning and fiscal sustainability aligning with the college’s core mission, vision and strategic direction.

Accountabilities:
The CIT Faculty instructor will develop, update, and teach (online, classroom, and hybrid) courses, providing leadership in collaboration with colleagues and an advisory committee to create and maintain gaming programs and courses that meet the needs of students and employers.

As an integral part of the Gaming & Programming team, the successful candidate will ensure the strategic integration of emerging technology and maintaining a current and innovative approach to instructing a diverse student population. The desired applicant will have demonstrated enthusiasm for and experience in simulation and game programming.

Required Qualifications:
Education:
Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
OR
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field plus 45 additional quarter credit hours of advanced course work deemed to be equivalent to Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Simulation, or Game Development.

Experience:
Two years full-time professional work experience in developing games or creating and maintaining virtual worlds. OR
Two years full-time instructional experience teaching game development or related topics at the community college or college level.
OR
A combination of full-time or part-time work in either of these areas that adds up to the equivalent of two years full-time experience.
