CONFERENCE OVERVIEW
Fun and Games 2010 is a single-track, 2-day conference where academics
and practitioners can interact together in a playful event that
marries the best of academic writing with the most innovative user
experiences.
The conference invites original contributions from designers,
developers and researchers in computer games, experience design and
‘fun’. Of particular interest are contributions that cross the
traditional disciplines of human-computer interaction, games design,
and game development. It will provide a venue for presenting and
discussing peer reviewed academic and practitioner papers, posters and
live demos.
Furthermore, the conference encourages student designers/developers to
submit their works to the Fun and Games Design Competition. The
nominees of this competition receive a free pass to the conference and
winners will be awarded at the conference.

VENUE
The conference will be held at the campus of Social Sciences and the
Campus of Groep T, in the heart of Leuven. Leuven nests the oldest
Catholic university in the world, founded in 1425 and has been a
university city ever since. Leuven owes much of its character to the
numerous university college buildings dating from the 16th and 17th
centuries. Other fine examples of this flamboyant gothic architecture
are the main market square, the finely sculpted Town Hall and Saint
Peter's church with its magnificent interior and the Old Market. The
Old Market is also known as the longest beer bar in the world, serving
an abundant amount of fine Belgians beer. Indeed, Leuven is also the
home of Inbev, the largest beer brewing company in the world. Today,
the charming city streets are filled with young faces, the city lives
at a student's rhythm. Shops, restaurants, cinemas, sports facilities
and places of historical interest are all close together to mingle in
a thriving atmosphere.
