of what it takes to be successful in the game industry, and how education can
better facilitate that need?

Game Developers, Students, Educators needed

to participate in a research project entitled:

The development of expertise in vocational education
for game developers

This study requires volunteers who are:

- Currently or
recently employed or contracted Game Developers (novice to expert)

- Current or recent Students
of a game development program of any type (e.g., arts, design, programming, or
management) or related fields (e.g., 3D art & animation)

- Educators involved
in Game Development programs (e.g., instructors/mentors, advisors for a
program, curriculum & content developers, program administrators or
managers)

Start by reading the Information letter for Informed
Consent at http://ubc1.shawwebspace.ca.
You will find other information there including the actual survey questions so
you can see and think about the questions in advance of doing the survey. If
you have more questions you can email the co-Investigator and Contact person
Don Ramos at ubc1 at shaw.ca.

If you are ready to start
immediately you can navigate directly to the online survey by clicking on this
link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ubc1
or by opening a browser and copying and pasting the address into your browser.

When you fill out the online demographic questions you will
be asked to confirm you have read, understand, and agree to participate based
on the Information letter for Informed Consent (a link will be provided
for those who haven’t yet read it). That confirmation will be your official
agreement to participate and to grant permission to report your responses
anonymously in the final manuscript to be submitted to the faculty supervisor
as part of the PhD research.

I am hoping to have
the surveys completed by the end of July 2010. Thanks.
