Hey everyone,

Derric, great summary!

I wanted to weigh in because I was at one time in charge of moving the
framework forward. Health issues sidelined me and I was unable to get the
document updated for 2012. I left the leadership of the SIG shortly
thereafter. Suzanne took up the mantle and she too needed to set it aside
due to health reasons.

I want to link to the 2008 document that Susan Gold had coordinated and is
the last published curriculum framwork
https://c.ymcdn.com/sites/www.igda.org/resource/collection/0DBC56DC-B7CB-4140-BF3A-22A9E92EC63A/igda_curriculum_framework_2008.pdf

Do We have coordinators for the areas of:
Critical Game Studies
Games & Society
Game Design
Game Programming
Visual Design
Audio Design
Interactive Storytelling
Game Production
Business of Gaming

Also, I would like to suggest that within programming we need a focus on AI
programming and that we need a cross disciplinary focus on Technical Art.

A lot of our programs were either directly or indirectly built on this or
the 2003 document. It had a large degree of input from what the needs are
in the industry. Are we going to be reaching out to industry contacts for
input with the current refresh?

Bill
