[game_edu] Preliminary Notice & Call for Volunteers for IEEE GEM 2018

Dear CE Society Member,  

 

I am Peter Corcoran, founding editor of IEEE Consumer Electronics Magazine and joint conference chair of GEM 2018. 

 

I would like to invite you to participate in the re-boot of IEEE Games Entertainment & Media conference (GEM 2018) which will be held in the West of Ireland in mid-August 2018. The venue is the National University of Ireland Galway and accommodation is available in the adjoining student village. 

 

We are looking for TPC volunteers, track chairs, special session & workshop organisers in all areas of Gaming, Interactive Media and Digital Entertainment technologies. Proposals for keynote speakers and interactive technology sessions are also welcome. 

 

The conference venue provides a bridge between North America, UK and Europe and offers an excellent opportunity to visit the West of Ireland on your way to Gamecom 2018 (http://www.gamescom-cologne.com/gamescom/trade-fair/dates-and-opening-times/index.php). 

 

If you would like to contribute please create a personal EDAS account (edas.info) and provide your EDAS ID to Charlotte Kobert ckobert at ieee.org to be added to our TPC. If you would like to be a track chair or organise a special session please contact dr.peter.corcoran at ieee.org with your interest/proposal. 

 

A call for papers will be issued in December and we would like to finalise any special interest sessions and finalise the list of track chairs in advance of releasing the call documents.
