[PAGID] Synegis in transplant

When we had RespiGam, the mean titer was 5x the titer in "regular" IGIV and the dose was 750 mg/kg. I do not know the titers of anti-RSV in current IGIV products. Hiowever, if you extrapolate from that, 400 mg/kg of "regular" IGIV does not provide the same protection as did RespiGam. Presumably, the concentration of Syngais would be adjusted to offer at least the same protection as its predeccesor.

Subject: [PAGID] Synegis in transplant

Our stem cell transplanters posed the following question: Should their
patients, who get IVIG, 800mg/kg/mo while in the hospital and
400mg/kg/mo from discharge to evidence of B cell function, be given
Synegis as well? If so, is there an age cutoff when you would not give
it?
Thanks,
Richard Wasserman
