Quality control for IVIG products required by the FDA includes measurement of antibody titers for tetanus, diphtheria, measles. Dropping titers for measles in IVIg products (and donors) in the last decade is a current concern.
The companies may include other antigens at their own initiative, such as parvovirus, hepatitis B.

Of interest, you might also find anti-HTLV I, anti-strongyloides antibodies.

The manufacturers do some titers e.g. tetanus and measles.

You could measure other antibodies in products directly after diluting appropriately.

We measured selective auto antibody titers in patients pre- and post-IVIG to show that IVIG infusions can result in positive anti-TPO antibodies (Pediatr All Immunol Pulmonol 2010; 23:121-3).

The companies have that information. Richard Schiff has been interested

in this issue in the past.

I have a quick question--Is there a way to find out specific Ab titers

to

different Ags in commercially available IVIG or SCIG?

thanks
