[CIS PIDD] [cis-pidd] ITP triggered by IVIG?

Colleagues:

I was asked about a 40yo M who had ITP in childhood and who had been in remission for decades.  He was found to have low immunoglobulins during an evaluation for recurrent sinusitis.  After his first dose of IVIG his ITP recurred.

Has anyone seen this before?  If so do you have a suspected mechanism?
