Megan
I believe she has the moderate type of LAD I with more than 5% CD18 expressiion. Although pregnancy in LAD I patient is rare' I do not think special care should be taken. Did she had any wound healing problems if so delivery should be done without episiotomy if possible

Subject: [cis-pidd] LAD1 and pregnancy

Hi everyone,

We have a teenage patient with LAD1 (CD18) who was diagnosed at a late age and has primarily manifest as pyoderma gangrenosum and gingival infections. She transferred care to us a few years ago doing relatively well on monthly IVIG after a number of different therapies, and for several reasons transplant wasn’t considered a good option. She is now pregnant. I was wondering if anyone had experience with LAD during pregnancy and anything that we should pass on to the OBs.

Thanks,

Megan
