[sbe-eas] NEW EAS rule changes and their effective dates

Hello. Does anyone have any insights into the status of software updates needed for EAS Participants to comply with this deadline? Should there be any concerns that EAS Participants may have to request a waiver or extension of the deadline? This is for the new rule with a deadline of December 12, 2023 thar requires EAS Participants to check whether certain types of alerts are available in CAP format and, if so, to transmit the CAP version of the alert rather than the legacy-formatted version. Thanks.

The "effective date" of the new EAS requirements will be December 12.2022 - the "compliance date" in not until next year, on December 12, 2023.
