[SBE] Horizontal AM's

When I was at NBC 30 rock, the old AM wire antenna had just been taken off 
the RCA building, long replaced by the vertical stick in the swamp. There was 
another horizontal wire AM in the LA area. Not far from Pasadena as I recall. 
Anyone still using the suspended wire antennas or has everyone gone with the 
stick in the ground (or building counterpoise)?
