[SBE] defining broadcast engineering education

I noticed, believe me! The list went almost silent on the subject.
What I don't get is why that is, especially in a country where you can
go to school almost 24 hours a day and where so much emphasis is
placed on education.

I raised the subject for a personal reason: I went back to school for
my Bachelor's, and I wondered how others had leveraged a BS to best
advantage in this field.

>From the handful of replies, I take it that it makes no difference for

the most part. In other words, unless I plan to go to work for a
manufacturer or directly for one of the networks, I did it for
nothing. With the economy in turmoil and no end in sight, with hiring
freezes in place at many large companies, there may be no positions
worth having at the manufacturers or with the networks for a while
yet.

That's depressing...
