[SBE] going green - tower lights

Maybe 1/10th of original. My tall tower used to have strobes....480vac
3ph and a 60a breaker. Now I have a 20 amp 120v breaker only. Let
alone on strobe light repairs. They were AWFUL!. Worse than AWFUL.
Deplorable and should have never been sanctioned to go on a tower they
are so bad. A major moneymaker for the strobe folks.

How about a real topic for this subject?

Going green is the buzz now. Frankly, I think it's somehting that we
should have been doing all along because it's the right thing to do, not
because it's fashionable and pleases the stockholders.

But now that more people are understanding the concern, what are your
stations and facilities doing on the technical side to promote being
green? I'm not looking for the promotional efforts, I mean the real
efforts. Changing lighting? Replacing inefficient systems? Alternate
energy sources? Tell us.
