[SBE] Loose Circuit Board

Comment:

The soft pink "Pink Pearl" erasers are minimally to not abrasive. I, too,
have used them successfully for years.

But the cautions that have been flying about abrasives is real and very well
taken.

To that end, please never use a so-called "ink eraser," those whitish-grey
erasers are very abrasive. That's how they work -- since they can't remove
the ink, the remove the top layer of the paper !!

Rubbing the card edge connector with a soft pink eraser (see your grandkid
for a sample)is not likely to damage the 'plating' unless you do it
excessively long and/or vigorously. We have been using this technique to
clear up intermittant and 'dirty' connections for years with no adverse
effects. Much cheaper (and safer) than expensive chemicals.
