The cost of operations is WAY HIGH for those choppers. You don't joy ride or run up the meter. Those guys want to spend only as much time in the air as they need to. And joy rides add to risks. You dont put anything in and take it up unless you need to. I have done a couple of these and found the pilots always very conscious of the costs and risks in their work. Very professional, very exact, get in, get loaded, get it done, get out.
