Slingbox Users:
 
Here's some information that might be helpful.  FCC rules have caused some hardship for Slingbox users in that it appears the analog reception has gone away on the upgrades of software.
 
The fact is that the receiving (via stream) of analog off-air is not supported on version 2 of the Slingplayer.  The "Fix" to this is to go back to version 1.xx.  Your Slinbox Pro's and Slingbox Classic's can still pick the analog signals out of the air, but your SlingPlayer 2.0 just won't allow you to see it.
 
Contact SlingMedia tech support and let them know you are using Win2000 (Slingplayer 2.0 will NOT work on 2000).  They will provide you a link for the old SlingPlayer 1.xx.  It WILL work on your XP machine or whichever version of Windows you use.  

When you install it, don't allow it to default to the Slingbox Directory, but create a new directory (Slingbox Old or whatever).  This will allow you to install SlingPlayer 1.xx and keep your SlingPlayer 2.xx (if you are using the new Slingbox ProHD, you will need Slingplayer 2.xx for that player).  Also worth noting, Slingbox ProHD DOES have NTSC/QAM/ATSC tuners and can see all off air and cable signals, both digital and analog.  
 
The SlingPlayer 1.xx can then see your original Slingboxes and continue to use the analog off-air tuners within those boxes.

As a side note, I originally started using Slingbox Pro a few years ago to create a ENG live broadcast system with a TrangoLINK10 (10 Mbps wireless broadband system installed on the tower of my former station.. WHIZ TV Zanesville, Ohio).  Something to consider is that the new Slingbox ProHD encoder is 1080i and fully HD.  The latency is a bit longer than the original (at about 5 seconds), but true HD and of incredible quality!!  The minimum bit rate for HD is about 1 Mbps, but I've been able to push this new box to about 8.4 Mbps (old Slinbox units worked very well as low as 600 kbps, but could hit as high as 5.3 Mbps.   I
