Ray is absolutely correct. Those local government and church entities are amazingly efficient at complaining when you cause interference to them. We should police our assigned channels with equal vigilance.

Of course they do understand they are not authorized to operate on TV channels and could be fined $10,000? This includes local governments. Look at the Part 90 fines that local government entities get.
I recommend they move as soon as possible. One complaint and they will be in a difficult position.

I've got some local gov't and church clients that have a lot of 700 MHz wireless mic systems, one church is less than 500 yards from a firestation. I read the article in the Signal about the changeover, but how tight is the enforcement going to be? Do I need to start pushing them all towards new gear now? I've mentioned the issue to some, but they don't seem to be too receptive (pun intended).
