I'm still thinking you have a loose connection or something breaking down in the radios. If you were getting interference, your received signal reading would go UP, not down, when the error occurs. Are these radios of the vintage with the XCXO problems?

Sitemaster showed no antenna problem, and it does not coincide with any mechanical movement. Its there 100% if I connect the antenna to the SL9003Q but not a problem if I connect via the Lanlink box. I suspect an interference problem, since the Lanlink has a lossy bandpass filter. the site is 55 miles from the metro center and very little RF from any source for miles. Most RF is from my 1008' TV tower 2.8 miles away. The other on site STL RX is a Harris CD link.
