[SBE] FCC R & R 73.318: FM Blanketing Interference

The blanketing rules are clear and are supported by the FCC. Only RF devices, like receivers are covered. Audio amps, speakers, PC's, etc  are not covered. The FCC does not have the authority to regulate audio devices so they can issue or enforce any requirements that the devices  not pick up stray rf.

If there are issues with local FCC inspectors, contact the FCC Media Bureau audio people. They do and will support broadcasters on these issues. When dealing with any state or local agency its important to talk to the right person.
