Curious that the news media (in particular TV Newscheck) made no mention of the story. I think that I'll cancel my subscription (long overdue) to that rag.

> Indianapolis – Mar 25, 2010 - The Senate bill introduced by Senator Olympia Snowe (R-ME) titled "The FCC Commissioners' Technical Resource Enhancement Act" has cleared the Senate Committee on Science, Commerce and Transportation. Only one change was made to the bill to include provisions of Senate bill S.3042, a bill also introduced by Sen. Snowe. S.3042 provides for a study by the National Academy of Sciences on the technical policy decisions and technical personnel at the Federal Communications Commission. The bill now moves back to the Senate.

McNerney's resolution, R.4809, was the result of the Society of Broadcast Engineers visiting offices of House members in March to generate support of the issue.
