We looked at several automated boxes and could not find any that we more
than 70% accurate. If it is the same voice every time a software call
"Naturally Speaking" does a good job, but only after a lot of tweaking. We
ended up going with a company named Caption First, and they do a great job.
They phone in through a Gentner unit to listen to our broadcast and connect
to a Link Electronics box for the insertion. Works great, and cheaper than
hiring your own stenographer to sit there and do it on site.

Subject: [SBE] Real-Time Closed Captioning
Any voice recognition software/hardware combo people trust? Most of the
content is live presentations that need to be captioned in real time for HD
closed circuit broadcast.
Thanks.
Jeremy
