Right you are on the age..for some reason I wrote 50. Perhaps because I
am now in my 51st year in this crazy business.



I am not sure of the age of the transmitter. I suspect late 50's or early
60's. Perhaps someone knows when the thing was built.

The station is a lot more than 50 yrs old- my dad worked at the station as a
student in the early thirties.
Maybe the transmitter is 50 years old.

My major employer, Washington State University, WSU, has an AM station

KWSU-AM- 1250- that will be 50 years old shortly.



One of the goals is to put the previous main transmitter on the air during

the celebration. Mind you, this is not their first transmitter, but

the one they operated prior to the present rig. I'm talking about a rather
nice condition RCA BTA-5T.



The rig is intact except for the built in RFA assembly that someone Removed
for some reason.



In addition to the above, I am looking for spare tubes (they have

None) Here's a list of what it uses -

Of course, any spares that you might have would be appreciated. I have To
believe that there are some of these items, growing a layer of dust, Out
there somewhere.



Unfortunately we have no budget to purchase these items, However, we might
be able to come up with shipping costs.
