[SBE] Advertising engineering jobs

There's an article in the radio tech trades today that reports a couple of recent FCC fines:  "... stations cannot rely on the Web to advertise new positions."

Sending a note to the SBE Chapter chairs is a good way to get the word out locally.

One unique way of national recruiting is to get your company an SBE Sustaining membership (http://www.sbe.org/sections/SustainingMembership.php).  Sustaining membership isn't just for vendors and suppliers, it's a method that stations and companies can use to send a recruitment message to more than 5,000 highly specialized and experienced technical professionals.  Along with the marketing benefits of sustaining membership, your company can send one marketing (or in this case recruitment) message to the SBE membership per year, publicizing your openings in a very targeted, effective, and efficient way.  Considering the cost of targeted direct marketing, SBE sustaining membership is an exceptional value.  And in addition to the direct marketing benefit, sustaining members get a couple of more perks that are pretty compelling:

* Sustaining Member employees receive member rates for all SBE Education Programs, including SBE University on-line courses, Webinars by SBE, Ennes Workshops and the SBE Leadership Development Course
* SBE partner rate for the NAB Spring Convention (a $100 savings off the NAB non-member attendee registration)

And on top of that, your company helps the SBE continue its education, certification, and support mission.

Worth considering.......

Maybe you've done these:

Post it on the SBE JobsOnline.

Most national trades still run classifieds. Some free, some paid. Some in print, some online.

Post to all the engineering-related email lists, forums and social network sites you can find.

Send the information to all the SBE chapter chairmen in your region.
