MessageIf I pull one from a tape drive with bad mechanicals or a bad head, wouldnt that already be programmed? Or is each CPU programmed to the specific tape deck it was assemled with?

Hi AL,

Yes I'm still looking for a replacement CPU for the tape unit. However the days of me having access to equipment to program one are long gone.

Hi folks,

This maybe a long shot but does anyone have or can duplicate the controller CPU for the tape drive unit on a 9010?
My tape unit doesn't work, I've checked the sensors and even tried driving the CPU input pins directly all to no avail so I and can only assume that the CPU is dead.

Thanks

Chris
