[Techtoolslist] Fluke 9020a - need replacement "low pulse" key switch

Andy,

I had a similar issue on a 9010a I picked up several months ago - the key
would stick down and not want to come back up, or wouldn’t lock down at all.

I unsoldered the switch from the keyboard, at which point it’s not too hard
work on. I suspect the little wire piece that flips back and forth got
bent, and you’ll need to gently get it bent back into position - not
necessarily an easy task. You may need some light lubrication in it as
well (I used a bit of silicon spray).

If you’re handy with that type of thing, it can definitely be done; I spent
about 30 to 45 minutes tweaking mine until I was happy with it. It clicks
back and forth consistently about 90% of the time, which was good enough
for me, and much better than it was.

Either way, these switches aren’t too common, so fixing it is your best
shot I suspect - good luck!

Regards,

Brent

key switch

hello! I recently bought a Fluke 9020a w ieee-488 interface
and the "low pulse" key switch behaves as a momentary sw only
whereas the "high pulse" switch is a toggle - PTMK-PTBRK.

on reading a post by Martin from 2006 i realised my LOW pulse"
sw probably needs replacement. anyone know of a source for the
switch mechanism ?

anyone repaired or lubricated the switch successfully ?

cheers, andy
