Hi Paul,

Have you a copy of the pod manual? It should show if there is a resistor 
there or not. Check the archives above for the manual. There are also 
some addendum sheets that are with the PDFs for any pod manual which you 
may not have so it is usually a good idea to compare your copy with the PDF.

Timeouts - you can use the schematic of the pod to trace the Clock and 
Control signals into the pod and use a logic probe, 'scope, or digital 
multimeter to get an idea if the signals are making it. Of course the 
cable to the 9010A could be the problem, if you have another pod then 
simply exchange that cable - the cables to the UUT are different though.
