Come listen to new music champion Thomas Piercy perform 15 new works for 
the hichiriki.

Audiences have the opportunity to listen to to Thomas Piercy LIVE online 
and ask questions to the musician and the composers.

The hichiriki (篳篥) is a double reed Japanese fue (flute) used as one of 
two main melodic instruments in Japanese gagaku music.

composers: Can Bilir, Erik Branch, Susan 
Brewster, Michael Coleman, Douglas DaSilva, Paul Dice, Eliane Aberdam, 
Akari Komura, Sandro Montalto, Luigi Morleo, Kaori Nakano, Gardika Gigih 
Pradipta, Renaldo Ramai, Anna Vriend, and Frank E 
Warren

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame is 15 one-minute works by different 
composers written for a specific performer or ensemble.  This 
performance features the virtuosity of hichiriki player Thomas 
Piercy.

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame. Thomas Piercy has been a part of 6 different 
sets of Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame, performing in different ensembles, and
