THREE NEW CALLS FROM VOX NOVUS |FIFTEEN-MINUTES-OF-FAME | 60X60 | 
CONTEMPORARY QUARTETS

Before listing the new opportunities appearing on Composer's Site, I 
wanted to highlight 3 very unique calls for works from Vox Novus 
programs.

The first is Fifteen Minutes of Meditation and Contemplation.  This call 
is for one-minute pieces composed for solo taishogoto (a Japanese String 
instrument) performed by David Bohn. It is rare to get a chance to write 
for this instrument by such a dedicated performer.

The second is the return of 60x60!  After a long hiatus and being 
inspired by Slippery Rock University, 60x60 calls for one-minute 
electronic works to be paired with 60x60 Dance at Slippery Rock 
University.  If you have been waiting for 60x60, the time is now. This 
unique electronic project tends to travel the globe with the submissions 
it receives.

The third is a new production project Vox Novus started during the 
pandemic called Contemporary Quartets.  It's a novel way for composers 
to produce their string quartets by talented musicians and get a live 
video recording online.  Check out our last performance:
