composers will be performed by clavichordist Monica Chew featured in this
Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame. The composers presented in the set of 15 are:

Brooks, Meadow Bridgham, Ross JamesCarey, Nicholas Fagnilli, Carlotta
Ferrari, Robert Fruehwald, Michael Kosch, Alisa Rose, Jee Seo, José Jesus
de Azevedo Souza, and Anna Vriend.
Monica Chew is an Oakland composer and pianist who celebrates presenting
rarely performed music and new works from around the world. A "gifted
player with an affinity for deeply sensitive expression" (Whole Note).

repertoire favorites and music by living composers. The concert will take
place in the Brand Library Recital Hall. Admission is free and seating is

Celebrated for their unique approach and virtuosic performances, TC4 has
delighted audiences in the greater Los Angeles area, introducing audiences
the exciting music of the saxophone quartet. TC4 uses their unique style to
create a fresh environment for classical music; to reflect our lived
experience and mixed culture, blending the known with the unknown. To date,
TC4 has presented hundreds of concerts throughout the US, and have recently
begun performing with symphonic organizations, including the South Valley
Symphony, premiering a new Saxophone Quartet Concerto by Robert Alexander,
and upcoming performances with the Sonoma State Symphonic Winds, performing
Second Nature by Viet Cuong. They have championed the music of living
composers, including Andrew Sigler, Joel Love, Nina Shekhar, and Michael
Markowski, and were recently featured on Vox Novus' Fifteen Minutes of Fame
in New York City.
Program: Music by Michael Markowski, Avner Dorman, Gaia Flagello, Chris
Evan Hass and miniatures from their Fifteen Minutes of Fame call for scores.

Get ready for a a truly eclectic music experience as Pensacola ComposerFest
XIX unfolds in the Pensacola State College Ashmore Fine Arts Auditorium on
Sunday, September 15 at 2:30 p.m.
Each year, ComposerFest showcases original music of mostly local and
regional composers. The event provides an opportunity to hear a variety of
new music written by contemporary composers, most of whom will be attending
the event. Many of the works on the concert will be world premieres!

Vox Novus is calling for one-minute pieces composed for cello solo
Vox Novus is calling for one-minute pieces composed for solo cello.
Selected works will be premiered on Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame with cellist
Eunice Koh in the beginning of 2025 with and online performance.
Only works one-minute in length for cello will be considered. Deadline for
works is September 20, 2024
Eunice Koh is a firm believer in exploring various musical styles and
genres. She is an advocate for world music and is constantly researching
performance practices from different cultures. Composers are encouraged to
borrow techniques and traditions outside western music. Composers are also
encouraged to utilize ethnic music from their own background and tradition.
