works from close to 50 composers. With a deadline for a call just expired
there is still time to get in on the fun with 7 more calls before the end
of the year! That is over 100 spots for composers to get their works
premiered, presented, and recorded. So many chances to meet musicians
looking to play new music!

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame featuring Mary Hubbell

This set of 15 works will present the composers: Erik Branch, Beth
Anderson, Bracha Bdil, Maria Collings, Ljubica Damčević, Nicole DeMaio,
Carlotta Ferrari, Tomas Friberg, David Heinick, Stanley M Hoffman, Chien-Yu
Huang, Kirsten Johnson, Martino Rappelli, Joyce Solomon Moorman, Hector
Vera, and Marilena Zlatanou

Mary Hubbell, described in the New York Times as “a soprano with a sweetly
focused tone,” holds degrees from Boston College; the University of
California, Santa Barbara; the Royal Conservatory in The Hague; and a DMA
from The Graduate Center of the City University of New York. An
accomplished recitalist, Dr. Hubbell has performed art song and chamber
music in a variety of venues, including the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in
Charleston, SC and the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. She maintains a
strong commitment to new music, and she has appeared with the Manhattan
Chamber Orchestra, Composer’s Voice Series, The Remarkable Theatre Brigade,
and counter)induction. She has also participated in the Women Composers
Festival in Hartford, CT and the Queens New Music Festival in NY. In the
Netherlands, she appeared at the contemporary music venues of the Young
Composer’s Festival in Apeldoorn and the Gaudeamus Festival in Amsterdam.
Dr. Hubbell is a faculty member of UMass-Amherst.

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame is 15 one-minute works written by different
composers specifically for a musician or ensemble. Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame
gives a variety of new music by living composers to audiences hungry to
hear what is being created in today's music scene. And more information can

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame with Jenny Ribeiro

This will be Jenny's third Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame. She just premiered this
set of 15 at The Turner-Dodge House in Lansing, Michigan and we are making
plans to live stream the set in NYC in 2025.

This set of 15 works will present the composers: Erik Branch, Sarah
Clevely, R. Michael Daugherty, Clifton Davis, Carlotta Ferrari, Boyd
Gibson, Stanley Grill, Stanley M. Hoffman, Maria E Ljungdahl, Serban
Nichifor, Juan Luis de Pablo Enríquez Rohen, Greg A Steinke, Melissa Tosh,
Anna Vriend, and Frank E. Warren

American soprano Jenny Ribeiro uses her “bright instrument and engaging
personality” (Voce di meche) to delight audiences throughout the world.
Trained as a classical pianist and clarinetist as well as a singer, she
spent several seasons in musical theater before switching her focus to
opera.

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame with Stas Venglevski

This will be Stas Venglevski's second set of Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame for
the Bayan Accordion.

This set of 15 works will present the composers: Bracha Bdil, Karen
Beaumont , Ross James Carey, Ljibica Damcevic, Stanley M. Hoffman, Nebojsa
S. Macura, Dominic McGonigal, Ryan Charles Ramer, Ege Sayar, Josh Schmidt,
Volker Ignaz Schmidt, Jaz Thomasian, Willyn Whiting, Matthew Williamson,
and Andrew M. Wilson

His artistry, dazzling technical command, and sensitivity have brought
Stanislav, "Stas," Venglevski, a native of the Republic of Moldova, part of
the former Soviet Union, increasing acclaim as a virtuoso of the Bayan.

Call for Scores

Deadline: October 14th, 2024

Vox Novus is calling for one-minute pieces composed for tenor saxophone for
the Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame project. The set of Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame
featuring Drew Hosler with tenor saxophone to be premiered online in 2025.

Music that strives to explore and extend the expressive and technically
capabilities of this instrument is extremely encouraged.

Hailed as “the ideal collaborator for new music” by Brutal New Music
Review, and as a “new music virtuoso” by Leslie Tate - saxophonist and new
music curator Drew Hosler (he/him/his) is an advocate for contemporary
music. .
