Thanks.

I will pass the information along. I will also send you his medical records after I get his permission.

I just had my first consultation with him last Tuesday. This man has been everywhere, so a trip to Madrid should be no problem. Would he have to travel to Madrid to get IV IgG or can that be given in Valencia?

Maybe I should teach him how to give SQ IgG

Charles

Dear Charles,

Unfortunately in Valencia there is no PID department.
We would be very pleased to see him in Madrid. We can offer subcutaneous Ig. When the patient is stable on SCIG we see our patients twice a year.
Please let him know our phone: 913908569

Greetings:

I am caring for a 49 y/o man who was recently found to have CVID. The presenting illness was pneumonia, but he has a long history of recurrent "sinus" infections.
IgG - 87 mg/dl; IgA - <5 mg/dl; IgM -11 mg/dl.

He is now on IgG replacement.

He has accepted a teaching position in Valencia, Spain at the end of August, 2012. He will need management of his IgG replacement and periodic checkups.

Please let me know of physicians who might be available to help with his care.

Thanks,
