[SBE] unlicensed wireless

We use Motorola Canopy 5.7 GHz DSSS equipment for STL links in our Denver
cluster. In other markets, we rent tower space to wireless Internet
providers who use identical equipment to serve their subscribers, so I guess
the answer is yes.

Motorola had a full line of 2.4 gig community wireless stuff, we rented
space on our 1006' tower for several of them. Most moved to 5.7 gig because
of interference since 2.4 is shared with a lot of other stuff, it is also
not protected being a part 15 device. The service area here in the flat
lands was typically 12-15 miles LOS. It will not burn through trees.
