[SBE] BE FM5B Transmitter Parts

One other factor of the Harris design of that vintage is a second harmonic
stub, inside the transmitter chassis or as part of the output plumbing.
Because the bulk of any second harmonic is killed by the stub, the LPF
attenuation of the second harmonic in the LPF might be insufficient when
used as a stand-alone filter on a transmitter lacking the stub. (Even with
the stub as part of the external assembly, the dimensions on the feed might
make it impossible to adjust the stub for the second harmonic.)

Getting a replacement filter from BE is the safest bet.

Best regards,

Mark

Harris and BE use external LP filters on their rigs.
They are both concerned as to the amount of line
between their output network and the input to the
LPF.
