[SBE] Proposed Analog Shutoff Extention

It's great to see so many passionate views on this subject. I think we can agree that, regardless of the date of the switch, it may not be pretty.

Many SBE chapters have either set up or have staffed phone banks to help educate viewers about the DTV transition. These are excellent ways for SBE Chapters to reach out and help solve the problem we've been handed. It's also a rare public way to showcase the relevance and value of SBE Engineers. If your state broadcast association is setting up a phone bank, coordinate your SBE chapter and help provide engineers to man the phones. You may have an opportunity to develop a closer relationship between the chapter and the state broadcast association. That is a vary good thing!

I'd love to hear from the participants on the Roundtable about other outreaches and education efforts. Tell us what you've done to help make the best of this situation!

We all make our living (and many build our self-worth) by being part of the solution. Let's share the ways we've done that with the DTV issue. Maybe you'll see something on the Roundtable you can do in your market!
