We have both tanka nd pressure generated nitrogen and there is no
difference, the 1200' of coax and waveguide are happy and anything over .5 lb
pressure keeps the leaks going out rather than in. But liquid nitrogen would take
up a lot less space, and the cryogogenic containers keep evaporation to a
minimum. The regulator would keep line pressure at the desired level .5-6 lbs,
and it doesn't need to be chained to the wall as high pressure tanks do.
Meanwhile, it might also serve as a CO2 fire extinguisher supply for those
pesky electrical systems that don't like water where Halon is not an
alternative. Not to mention those remote sites where it might be a lot easier to
transport 5 gal of liquid vs 90 pounds of tank.
