[SBE] Congratulations DTV and a request

I have plans to rebroadcast NOAA in the near future on an HD3 channel.
Already thought of it and contacted NOAA and received approval to do so.
Additionally, that channel could run all EAS messages from watches to
warnings as well as all communications from state emergency management
offices and essentially become an LP1 for the market.  It does have
potential

I like that idea Steve, could be great cross promotion between TV and
Radio. Put a camera on your morning show on a DTV channel and the TV
audio on the HD channel. I've always wondered also if it would be
possible to get at least one radio station in a market to retransmit the
NOAA weather radio on the HD-2 or 3 channel also...that would be truly
using the channel to serve the community.

I have already considered this being an opportunity for HD Radio HD-3
channels, to simulcast the audio of TV stations, especially during the
news, but it would have to be promoted.

This is an interesting angle.  Viewers complaining that they will no
longer hear the TV audio on channel 6.
