[SBE] In Need of Mentoring

what we have seen is that because broadcast is a small business, and the costs for some products are quite high out of necessity, a lot of the engineering is given away for free to sell the console, transmitter etc. Or conversely, none is given for free by the vendor and you pay for them to handle the engineering and integration. Unless you expect to be an RF consultant, there just are not the dollars in billing to justify the cost of your education. Even if you do land a high paying job at a station, half of that salary is aggrevation compensation because your high salary comes at the cost of not having the capital and operating resources to get the job done. It does appear that HS is all you need unless you expect to become a licensed professional. That requires study under a Master.
