 There is an assumption under unattended rules that the equipment itself
 is stable enough for long periods of time such as to not require any ability
 to adjust it at all. Hence, unattended.

 Basically, if it stays within tolerance, you don't need any ability to adjust.
 If it goes out of tolerance, then you do.
